“The Marvel Experience” Comes to Philadelphia

It’s like stepping into a Marvel movie and custom arcade machine all at once when you visit “The Marvel Experience,” coming to Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field June 24-July 5. If you have ever dreamed about stepping into a Marvel superhero movie or classic video game and taking on the role of Spider-Man or the Hulk, this is your chance. It’s part thrill ride, part movie, part game, but it’s 100% hands-on and perfect for every member of the family.

“The Experience” of a S.H.I.E.L.D. Recruit

Event goers, known as S.H.I.E.L.D. recruits, embark on the two-hour adventure and enter an 80-foot tall 3D dome with a 360 degree projection theater and truly become immersed in the quest. Recruits must take part in multi-player video game challenges and climb a motorized wall just like Spider-Man. There is even a 4D motion ride with physical effects such as wind blowing in the face to enhance realism for recruits. Over 20 Marvel characters are featured throughout the experience.

Modern Day Amusement

“The Marvel Experience” is on the forefront of modern amusement park advances. Amusement seekers are on the hunt for more than what the traditional park setting has to offer, and this event is the prime example of the perfect combination of entertainment, interactive fun and thrills. The event received funding from the likes of Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Steve Tisch, Michael Cohl and more to bring this muli-million dollar even to cities across the country.

Ticket prices currently start at $39.90 and include a time slot to enter the event. This organization tactic cuts down on the lines and crowding which could ruin an event like “The Marvel Experience” otherwise. Group packages and VIP rates are available.

Later in the summer, “The Marvel Experience” is traveling to Chicago from July 11-August 2, New York City August 13-30, and St. Louis September 5-20. Catch the exciting action in a city near you and you may remember the “experience” as the highlight of your summer fun.
