Two New Options Available to Play Your Favourite Classic Games at Home

Arcade machines are undoubtedly your best option when playing classic video games, but there are other ways to play too. In fact, there is a constant stream of new products appearing on the market including reincarnated old consoles and classic games titles ported to modern machines.

NES Classic Edition Back on Sale

This one isn't exactly a new product as the NES Classic Edition first went on sale in November 2016. It sold out quickly, however, leaving many people disappointed. If you were one of them, you have another chance of getting the console as it went back on sale on June 29th.

The NES Classic Edition includes 30 built-in games that you will remember from the original Nintendo Entertainment System. This includes Mega Man 2 and Zelda.

Remember, though, the NES Classic Edition sold out quickly last time around, so get in quick if you want one.

Namco Museum Arcade Pac Goes on Sale

This one is ideal if you have a Switch at home – the Namco Museum Arcade Pac. The games bundle from Bandai Namco won't be available until September, but it is packed full of fantastic titles.

You can get them all on the Switch separately as they came out in 2016 and 2017, but the compilation represents fantastic value for money.

The titles include the 1980 all-time classic Pac-Man as well as the more modern Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus. The latter is based on the original game but has better graphics and additional features, such as a two-play co-operative mode.

There is another Pac-Man title in the bundle too – the 2003 game Pac-Man Vs. Early 90s games Rolling Thunder 2 and Tank Force are also in the Namco Museum Arcade Pac, but the compilation mostly consists of 1980s titles. These include:

• Galaga

• Galaga '88

• The original Rolling Thunder from 1986

• Splatterhouse • Sky Kid

• The Tower of Druaga

• Dig Dug

The official release date is September 28th – here is the launch video:

While all these retro products are great, if you still prefer the real deal you should check out our range of full-size arcade machines today. They come preloaded with classic 80s games and are the best way to relive those glory days in the arcades of your youth.
