Ohio Arcade Themed Bar Announced New Location

Bar goers across the nation have been quietly enjoying arcade themed bars for nearly two years. These bars are generally the product of a few independent investors teaming up in an attempt appeal to young professional adults. Normally, these bars are casual in nature, serving up chicken wing appetizers and classic Ms Pacman cocktail tables. The newest 16-Bit Bar + Arcade will be more formal, but classic arcade games will still have a place.

Owner Troy Allen plans to feature signature drinks bearing names that are similar to classic arcade games. It has been approximately one year since the Columbus grand opening, which was met with much enthusiasm by locals. This time, Allen is opening a bar themed arcade in Lakewood, Ohio, that combines nothing but the 80s, 90s and arcade fun.

Allen has high hopes for what very well may be a highly successful bar themed arcade franchise in the Ohio area. Unlike other bar arcades, the 16-Bit Bar + Arcade encourages patrons to embrace the nostalgia of the golden age of arcade gaming. Different nights will feature different themes, and there will also be special events. For Lakewood classic arcade fans, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Although bar themed arcades are being taken more seriously, they haven’t yet found their way to the suburbs; until now.

Bars like the 16-Bit Bar + Arcade are giving arcade fans a lot to look forward to. Although the games are retro, the concept is brand spanking new. No longer do business professionals have to feel self conscious about enjoying arcade games while dressed in their suits. Bar themed arcades make it socially acceptable for gamers to come as they are, enjoy the scenery and spend as much time as they want reliving their youth.

Classic Ms Pacman cocktail tables can be played without quarters as the 16-Bit Bar + Arcade offers visitors unlimited play. Due to open in July, both Allen and Lakewood residents are gearing up for what is expected to be a nostalgic summer. Now is the perfect time to dust off your classic gaming console and practice your technique in anticipation for the newest edition of the 16-Bit Bar + Arcade.
