ARCADE MONITOR vs COMPUTER MONITORS (VGA/LCD/CRT)

True arcade monitors are built to last decades and display the games the way they were originally programmed. Classic arcade games of the 1980′s were programmed for CGA arcade monitors, not VGA computer monitors. VGA computer monitors (which everyone else is selling today) use formulas that work with pixels to scale the images. They render an image that does not reproduce the game graphics authentically. It’s like playing Pac-Man on your computer. Our monitors were designed by our engineers in the 1980′s before VGA’s. We are the only company left today that still offers arcade machines that will display the graphics just like you remember it. Part of the nostalgia of owning a classic arcade table is having the games look like they did in their original form.

Our gaming table comes with an authentic 21″ arcade monitor. You will not find a real 21″ arcade monitor anywhere. All others today are selling either a 17 or 19″ LCD or CRT computer monitor with a viewable area 2″ less than stated. Ours is truly 21″ viewable.

2 PLAYER ACTION

The game is built with two control panels, one on each side. The players sit across from each other and the image on the screen flips to face each player when it is their turn.

LEFT HANDED PLAY

We have expanded our control panels to make it larger and span the entire width of the cabinet on each side. This provides more room and provides more comfortable game play. It is built with a duplicate set of buttons on both the right and left side of the joystick. This enables players to always have a set of buttons available regardless of which hand they prefer to shoot with. There is always an adjacent set of buttons for the hand not using the joystick. This design feature is especially helpful for left handed players. Arcade machines are most commonly built with a joystick on the left and the shooting buttons on the right. Left handed players usually prefer the opposite. This causes a left handed player to have to crisscross their arms, making game play more cumbersome. We offer the only arcade machines for sale that has the left handed feature.

COIN MECHANISM

The Arcade Classics Gaming Table™ is a commercial cocktail style arcade game cabinet with a sophisticated electronic coin mechanism installed. They work with coins or tokens and you have complete control over pricing. They can be set for coin play or free play.

TAKE TOKENS RATHER THAN ACTUAL QUARTERS?

Yes. The installed coin mechanism is a very sophisticated electronic design. It works by comparing incoming coins with a sample coin that is placed in a special compartment behind the coin door. You can use any coin or token. If the coin that is inserted in the coin slot is a match a credit is given, if not the coin is rejected and returned in the coin return slot. We have customers outside the US that use their country’s currency and even some customers that use nickels. Tokens work just like any other coin.

IF REPAIR IS NEEDED, HOW DO I GET IT REPAIRED?

Our arcade machines are manufactured in such a way that every part is modular. We can easily troubleshoot issues over the phone and determine the part that may need to be replaced. We overnight the replacement part to you. All you have to do is unplug the part with the issue and plug in the replacement. Repairs are quick and easy. You don’t have to wait for a repair person to come and you are back up and running the next day.
